Love the scale appropriate adaptions like the shops, transfer tables, passenger cars ... & no 'for show' costume Home Depot gloves or Walmart overalls.
That really moves along. Some lovely locos there and what a nice track. I have several friends with live steamers. in a few weeks we are having a get together at a friend's house. Both he and his neighbour have tracks running around their houses. They run both 5" and 7 1/2". They also have about 10 layouts between them inside their houses, for HO and O gauge.
Pretty spiffy. I kept waiting for it to go rolling off one of those curves. Glad it didn't!
F. Bill, fantastic, what fun. Thanks Don
Very cool, I was holding on to my chair as he went around those curves

for those in the Los Angeles area, 13-14 July the LA Live Steamers will be hosting the National Small Scales Meet. see some nice 1" and 3/4" scale trains running where they should be running, ...on the ground!

B&O P7 Pacific, #5300 "President Washington" in original green livery was built in the 1960's by Doug Alkire of Los Angeles. including the drawing package, an estimated 14,000 hours were spent on this project from idea to completion. luckily i got to meet Doug at the October 2010 Riverside Live Steamers fall meet just a few months before he passed away at age 91.
i became the most recent caretaker of this beautiful piece of machine work last year and after a few minor tune-up repairs, it should be ready to hit the rails again next month.
I love live steam. I have a coal fired V2 class 3 1/2" guage under my desk, someday I will get to fire it up

living in NJ if you aren't aware, there is a great club in the Martinsville area. the New Jersey Live Steamers have tracks for 7.25", 4.75", 3.5" & #1 gauge. you will likely find all the help you need there to get your locomotive steaming again.
good luck with it.
cheers...gary
thanks Gary, I have been in touch with them, but have not had the time yet to get there. they are only about a half hour away. as I said "someday", hope it is soon.
