In Loader, select options and then search for com port.    I don't know if you're using USB cable or a USB to serial cable.  If the latter, you must have the cord plugged in for device manager to see it.  All I use device manager for is to spot the port the computer has selected; I don't know how to set it up through device manager.  Ia use Windows 7 64-bit.

Also, try it with TIU connected and powered on.

hi I'm using window ten also you must download the device driver from MTH, ill post the driver for you just below copy and save as target so you can tell the computer where you want the file ,some people like it on desk top other like it in the my mth files directory, by using the save as function you may save it where ever you want.

Downloaded the file, no change.  I hook up everything for transfer remote to pc as directed.  My TIU uses the serial 232 cable which I successfully used before to download new sound files to locomotives and also just added a custom sound.  Everything is working except this.

I inserted the USB end into a blue USB port even though the instructions don't mention it.  When I press start first a message pops up to make sure phone is plugged into the right TIU input, which it is.  Then on "save" the message is "unable to search for the TIU com #  device attached to system not functioning.  Another program may be using port."

Doggedly hoping for a really simple solution 😐.

Are you updating the remote or TIU?

Is there something else connected that's active?
