Jeremy, Thank you for the good advice.
Katie emailed me on January 16th saying she checked with Dean and an RA would be sent to me.
I called Lionel today, January 17, 2019, and asked when the RA would be sent. There is a snow storm coming with up to 24 inches of snow. I would like to get it on its way before the snow starts falling. The person said it is up to Dean and Katie. (This last statement is a non-answer.)
When the 6-85176 C&O 2-6-6-2 reaches Lionel, Lionel is supposed to cut me a check for $1219.94, the amount I paid Train World for my 6-82751 Vision Line GG1 #4913 that Lionel could not fix after three trips into Lionel. The C&O was a replacement engine for the GG1. The C&O arrived broken in the box with white paint on the left upper walkway. The 2-6-6-2 engine's whistle does not sound in "Sequence Control" AUX 1 on the Legacy 990 Remote due to a factory programming error.
So I went from a Vision Line (Top-of-the-Line) GG1 to a broken C&O 2-6-6-2 with bad paint and a factory programming error. … And as of 6:34 P.M on January 17, 2019, I have not received the RA to return the C&O 2-6-6-2. I am sure they have the $1219.94 in the bank to pay me for the GG1 they cannot fix, so that can't be the issue. The shipping label just goes onto their FEDEX account.
I have other engines that have to go back to Lionel for a third time. My CSX F40PH #9999 was in a second time for a stuck roof hatch and no smoke. It returned from Lionel Service with a volume control that does raise or lower the volume, and a light blue spot on the roof.
My Coal Hauler Set just arrived, and the Pennsylvania H-10 #1773 has debris painted into the paint on the silver smoke stack. One grain of debris fell off the smoke stack and exposed a black spot on this new engine. The caboose has a bent truck, but it appears to track ok.
What else can I do?
Sincerely, John Rowlen
