My brother-in-law in Cincinnati has been talking to Ross about purchasing roughly $1500.00 (MSRP) worth of their switches. The last person he talked to at Ross told him they would give a discount if he was a member of a club. He didn't ask but anyone know what kind of a club do you need to be a member of to get this alleged discount? Does TCA or LCCA qualify or did he mean if you were buying for a club???

No, but the real beauty here is that clubs really push the switches to the max and they have a lifetime guarantee. They always stood by their product and repaired whatever we sent them! We have over 100 of them on our layout!!!
I would imagine only Ross can answer this question.
Why would you ask this on a public forum?
John
I don't understand your comment/question.
#1 - It is a public forum
#2 - Ross is closed at the moment and we are just wondering if anyone had a clue or recent experience with getting a club discount. Obviously you don't.
I don't think the TCA, etc... is the club they're talking about. Steve explained it to me one time at York, that he'll discount for a club (modular, permanent in a common space, etc...), through a designated point of contact in the club.
Try some of Ross' dealers. I bet you can get some volume pricing through one of them.
Thanks. That answers my question and what I suspected. I have already sent my b-in-law some dealers to call based on earlier posted threads on the subject.
