Several months ago I purchased a Lionel Southern Mountain engine from 2002 from a forum member.  It had been upgraded with EOB and had four chuffs per revolution.  It sounded and ran great and has become one of my favorite engines (also had the engine specific sounds I like).  Last night while I was running it using the Legacy controller along with several other engines, when I went back to it's number, I pushed the start-up icon by mistake.  This caused the engine to come to an abrupt stop.  When I turned the nob to start it moving again, it only had one chuff per revolution.  I did an engine reset but it only had the one chuff per revolution.

I am very upset that this has happened because the reason I purchased it was for the four chuffs.

Any ideas why this happened and what I can do to rectify it and get my four chuffs back?

Thanks for your help,

Don

I've sometimes found that odd things happen if you accidentally hit the reset button. But in all cases so far, I've found that if I shut down everything, and turn the power off (Including the Legacy base.) and then start-up again, all normal functions are restored. It seems to be the Legacy equivalent of a hard-boot.
