I installed a Cruise Commander and the SD Railsounds in a Willaims GP30.  (I have installed more than 10 of each in the past)

The Cruise Commander tested OK (lights, direction and couplers are worked right) So installed the SD Railsound.

When I powered up the track with TMCC the sounds came on, no bell or horn, engine sounds at the highest level. NO serial data to the Railsound card?

Pulled the wire pigtail between the Commander and the Railsounds, all wires were OK.

Tested the SD  Railsound card on a second engine and at did the same, sounds came on at track power up.

I tested the Railsound card with a conventional transformer and the sounds would change levels but on bell or horn (could be the transformer on the bell and horn not working)

Looks like the Railsound card has a problem reading the serial data.

Now my questions.....

1. Is there a jumper on the sound card that may need to be jumped to work right?

2. Should I just purchase a new SD Railsound  and install the one that does not read the serial data into a conventional engine?

Any ideals?
