But the question is... did lionel catch it and put the right cab number on the model so it matched? (I know in this case it probably doesnt matter because I think all of BNSF's ES44s are 4 window models), but they seem notorious for half arsing their homework and using a cab number which doesnt match the model they made, even though a series of numbers exist that is an exact match.

 

I predict we'll see NS black models in the catalog next year, I just hope they modularly tooled the nose so they can run some other road names and get it right.

No Lionel did not put the correct road number on.  I'm not criticizing Lionel here, but it does seem a bit lazy.

I picked up my second BN SD45 last night, so now I have 2 BN SD45s. Now I just need MTH to make a BN SD40-2 or GP40.

Also got a Pennsy, but its pictured above. That Conrail unit looks very tempting, too bad I'm all tapped out this month.
