I'm a brand new member so take it easy on me. I just dug out my 40-50 year old Lionel trains. I like the new fast track and bought a bunch at the Lionel Warehouse Sale in Charlotte, NC. I put up a simple layout on 2 4x8 tables. I was happy to see that my ZW 250 watt transformer still puts out 21 volts to the track. (Checked with multimeter) I took my Silver Streak engine apart and cleaned the contacts. Now to my problem; Half way around the circuit, the engine just stopped. I found that one of my fast tracks wasn't carrying the current to the next track. I see that you can run a wire from track to track using Lionel's wire with terminals. That can get expensive. Where can you buy these small terminals so I can run "jumpers" from track to track as needed? Thanks; this looks like a great forum.

Do a net search for .110 female quick disconnect. That's the one you want. Just add wire.

ps - A .125 will do in a pinch.
Strick,
you can get them on Ebay. Just search for .110 female quick disconnect. You can get 100 for around $9. I have feeder wires running to my Fastrack every six feet or so. Hope this helps.

Great. I just ordered 100 for $9.96. That's a lot cheaper than the Lionel pigtail. Thanks guys.
That should not be happening. You have a bad piece it track or the pins between are not touching. I would take the bad piece back and exchange it.
just put up fastrack around the tree for the first time and had the same problem, naturally the dead spot was behind the tree. I wiggled the joints a little and got power back. very surprised, have not heard bad things about the connections. for a better fix I just added 2 more drops. jumpers between sections on a larger layout would be better.
