I have a Fastrack 72 Command Control switch. Recently it started to resist from switching to desired direction. It would switch via my remote, but then switch back. Everytime I switch it, it goes back.
Any ideas here as to what is going on? Thanks, Brian

There is a connection similar to a car being on anti derailing track section...some how. It's like leaving a car on the turnout and trying to switch to thru.
This is frequently the two limit switches on the rocker that's driven by the motor. From my dealings with the Fastrack switches, this is a common area to need tweaking.
I will pull the switch to see if a wire underneath is making the switch erratic. Thanks
Not sure about where to look at the limit switches, but will take a look. John, by chance do you have a pic? What kind of tweaking? Perhaps a good cleaning?
Check the operation of these two switches when flipping back and forth. Make sure they're actually switching and you get continuity through the contacts.

It turned out to be a loose ground on the wiring. The switch is working great again. Thanks for your help.
Glad to hear it. Whenever I open up a Fastrack switch, I take the opportunity to solder all the crimps that are used internally for power and ground, and the ones that carry power to inside rails. This makes a big difference in the long term.

A loose Ground wire will definitely give you that problem, congrats on fixing your FTCC problem, I have a FTCC switch that needs a little more than that in the near future. I have to say however I have had few problems with my FTCC switches, I like the way they work from the Cab2 very much.
