Fonts used by railroads?

Is there a website that lists the type of fonts various railroads use in this country for their engines and rolling stock?
What about a site where you can post an example of a font and they will identify what type it is?
I need to know the font the Strasburg railroad uses for its passenger cars.

Just say no to Helvetica and san-serif fonts on your layout!

I see it used all the time on layout that take place long before the typeface was even created...
