This is one of the best things I have seen in the O gauge world. And what a terrific keepsake!
That looks like me. This is the fantastic layout of Jeff James in Ohio.
good deal.
my wifes cousin did a similar thing, she painted an entire wall with that
chalk board paint, and everybody that comes over writes on her wall.

she's ended up with some neat artwork on her wall.
Great post Marty,
It is the friends we meet thru it which makes it an even more enjoyable hobby.
(Yet the younger guys might hold off mentioning toy trains to potential girl friends!)
Hope to be able to take you up on your offer one day soon.
I feel privileged to have signed Marty's wall (the other guys who have signed Marty's wall are like a "Who's who" in the hobby), but more importantly, am honored to be Marty, Dotty and Ralph's (Marty's cat) friend.
There are no better friends of mine in the hobby. I am always willing to buy Marty and Dotty a beer and/or dinner, and bring Ralph cat treats.

I remember reading many years ago about an old-timer 3 rail guy who'd done this and the wall had Lionel Cowen's signature on it from a postwar visit. Can anyone here recall who that was?
I won't be having people sign the wall, but I'll need to get a good guest book, as my layout is in a very small room so the number of visitors once it's operational (which will be any day now) will be manageable.
A great visit last night from the LCCA guys. They were in Boston to ensure everything will be perfect for the upcoming convention this summer. I wanted to get my friend Al Kolis to sign my wall. Al did so, and the list keeps growing. Al will be including my layout and the great collection of Marty Visnick to the list of LCCA events this summer. Thank you Al.

Marty, your "wall" is one of the best ideas anyone has come up with to recognize visitors to a layout. Great idea from a great guy!!!!!!
Over the years I have always kicked myself for never having a guest book for those who have visited the layout. I have had a few friends sign my wall and thought I would throw out a few. I have many more that I will ask to sign in the future. This will be updated this summer after LCCA comes to Boston. I might need to send a limo to get Alan Arnold here as I am saving him a spot.

BOLO for New York guys with spray cans. They reach for a spray can before a pen when asked to sign anything.

Marty, I am turkey honored to have signed your wall alongside other such great people. Thank you and Dotty again for hosting such a fun evening. We are planning to have an open house LCCA Special Event at Marty's on Sunday July 19, 2015. The LCCA will be at the Double Tree Hotel in Danvers MA hosting our 45th Annual Convention July 20-25. Our members are in for a real treat. They are going to L.O.V. E. Marty's cantenary layout and Marty Visnick's vast collection. Additional information will follow.

looks like your starting to run out of space there. Still one of my favorite train trips going to your house after Mike Reagan was at Charels ro.
What a great bunch of friends!! The wall is a good idea! As often as I have had to move, I would be better suited to the modular wall aka guest book, to go with my modular layouts.
Mark, I was so involved in building back in the early years the thought never crossed my mind.
Nate, you know where I am, stop by.
Al, your event this summer has the makings of being the best ever.

Dr. Ed is indeed fortunate to be added to your wall, Marty. This is truly an honor!!!!!!
