Yes, clearly a 50 dollar rebate/coupon payable as two 25 dollar rebates/coupons. No ambiguity there.
Scale drawings or overall dimensions of the GC terminal (height and width)
Does anyone have scale drawings and overall dimensions for the actual GC terminal? I would like to scratch build something close to the original in 1/48 scale.
Here is what I know.
The Main Concourse is the center of Grand Central. 275 ft long, 120 ft wide and 125 ft high.

In 1/48th scale, you'll need at least a 4ft x 8ft board for the GCT model. Thats a lot of real estate! If you do it, I would love to see photos.
This model of GCT is very nice and perfect for smaller layouts. I wonder what it would look like with some additions to it to give it a bigger footprint? It wouldn't have to be extremely large, but enough of an increase to give it a more commanding presence.

Art,
You're describing, more or less, the previous GCT model made by TW Design for Lionel.
Making an O scale model of the concourse based on prototype dimensions.
A compromise would be a slightly compressed size.
The concourse length of 275 feet translates to a scale length of 69 inches!
I would reduce all dimensions by about 20%.
This would make the length 55 inches. The height would be about 25 inches. It still would be a very large structure for any layout.
I received my Grand Central Terminal Yesterday.
When I opened the box, the front three windows were laying in the bottom of box.
All three came unglued, after leaving the factory. Need to re-glue them. But before I do, it looks like a good time to do better internal light system.
I get it - a little hand work with a file will fix the mini-problem with fitting the light socket into the hole in the base of the GCT model by Trainworx. It's a 110v AC light socket and bulb -- like those provided by Dept 56 for their line of porcelain buildings.
Is it possible to illuminate this building with bulbs in the 12-18v range instead, which is commonly available on most layouts through the accessory circuit provided by a KW or ZW or other transformer?

I was waiting on some ideas from someone about that also. Want to change mine. If anyone has a idea or has done it, please post.
