Greenberg has been trying to find a replacement for the former Ft.Washington PA Expo Center for about 6 years:
Aston, PA in a huge tent: A total disaster!
Reading, PA: A great building for dealer and modular group loading/unloading, tons of room, large free parking lot. Because it is 1 1/2 hours from Phila., attendance was not high.
Valley Forge Convention Center: Limited space, loading/unloading a pain due to having to use a elevator. I think it may be closing as a convention center?
Lancaster Convention Center: Location in downtown makes parking expensive. The show drew very few people, and dealers were disgusted with sales.
Oaks, PA (Phila Expo Center). Space limited (they gave Greenberg the smaller section), and rising rental rates have been driving some shows to other venues. Parking can be a pain if other big shows take place on same weekend.
So, here's hoping Wilmington, DE will work out. I can get there in 20 minutes, but I am discouraged that our modular group was turned down last month due to no additional space available.
