Hi,

Here's the scoop I just got a front pilot for my Hudson so I put it on 042 gauge curve track and tried to

run it, it's great without the front pilot but with the front pilot on the pilot derails at the curve. So the one

in the front is the new one and the rear is the one I got with the engine I think it's for a 773 Hudson it has

the dimple in the center see picture.  I've come far with it and I don't want to give up on it, it's turning into a

great engine,

The original one you show in the rear in the picture is the one you will have to use for O42 (or even O31, I believe) curves.

There is just not enough clearance under the engine for the large scale wheels. They look great, but at the cost of having to go to O72 curves.

I'm not sure if you can get away with slightly tighter curves such as O63 or O54. Perhaps someone else who has some experience with a scale Hudson with that pilot truck on those curves can comment.
