Would certainly be one of the oddest decorations on your tree. Most people seeing it are going to ask what in the world it is. Too bad it doesn't plug in. I prefer the decorations that plug in for constant operation, rather than battery operation requiring a button to be pushed. Perhaps the button can be taped down, although no telling what the battery life would be. The Hallmark ad says you can put an engine on the track, which would be neat. If you do that, however, the CG will be thrown off, and you wouldn't be able to hang it unless you rig up an additional hanging point.
It looks great on my Christmas tree a long side of my Hallmark GG1 and Mickey mouse hand car.
