I had a number of misc components laying around--including a Variac--so I constructed a home built powersupply for my newly built mezzanine layout in my computer room. Now I have a Williams "Blue Goose" Passenger set gracing my room. Unfortunately there is no activation on my homebuilt transformer for either the whistle or bell.
I have an old 167 whistle controller I could hook up in series to activate the whistle or the bell. Someone told my if I reverse the wiring on the whistle controller, it would make the bell ring. If I were to install a DPDT switch in line with the controller, wouldn't that enable me to choose the whistle or bell function?
