He seems to be under the false impression that CN has no blue boxcars.

The CN blue boxcars were not like that. They were 60' long, but not Hi-Cube or 86' long Hi-cube. The Grand Trunk Western on the other hand had rebuilt 60' boxcars to be hi-cube.

The Lionel O gauge Hi-Cube boxcar is 55' long in 1:64th scale when measured from end to end on the sides. It is very close proportionally to the Grand Trunk Western rebuilt 60' Hi-cube Boxcars.

And I'm sure many people would enjoy seeing it pulled behind a toy train...

I was considering getting the CN ones and adding GTW graphics along side or over the CN markings, to go with the Lionel O gauge Grand Trunk Western GP9 that was called a GP7.

It's an O27 boxcar so prototypical accuracy wasn't on the minds of Lionel when this boxcar was conceived. They have many other scale offerings like the aforementioned Grand Trunk and Western 86' boxcars.

For $25 it could be green with orange letters and still be a heckuva deal.

These days $25 for a new boxcar is a good deal. Since Industrial Rail is on hold at Atlas O.

I see lots of Legacy locos on sale, but no LionChief+ on sale (darn).   We could read into this that LC+ is selling pretty well, and Lionel will follow what sells?   Just thinking, I don't want to jump to a conclusion based on this small data point.   Any opinions?
