K-Line lives through several manufacturers, Flyer is still made, Weaver should be picked up soon, MTH owns Ives intellectual property... it's all just in flux.
Recently, I was brainstorming about a little change to my layout. My first move was quickly to use my Weaver Models bookmark, to access their great rolling stock production search engine. I forgot. 
It really is a bummer, still. (Especially for folks that don't buy MTH products).
I hope the ex-employees are doing well.
