IT' TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!! Share your team track photos here!!
Team tracks are a vital part of day to day railroad operations. Practically every type of freight car can be on/off loaded on a team track. MOW equipment and some passenger train head end equipment can also be on/off loaded on team tracks.
The purpose of this thread is to inspire one another with photos of team track operations both prototypical and in miniature on our layouts. Changing team track scenes frequently also helps keep our imagination engaged by brining freshly created vignettes to our layouts. All modelers are welcome to participate. If you have an elaborately detailed museum quality layout or a simple oval of track with an undedicated siding, please post your photos.
This week on the Free State Junction Railway's Mountain Division team track at Lildanlu Crossing, we have a stock car load of turkeys having been loaded and ready to go to market. As soon as the crew shoos these last two turkeys into the car and slides the door shut, their job will be done. The local freight will be here in about 30 minutes to pull the car and take these turkeys to market. By Thursday these birds will be the center piece of many dinner tables.
Lastly we have a photo of a turkey who has met his fate, as a peacock looks on and says " It's good to be a peacock on Thanksgiving!"
See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!!
