I have the old blue hardcover K-Line Lionel postwar repair manual from the 1980s. How does this compare to the Greenberg Lionel postwar repair manual? Are they both basically the same with copies of the Lionel pages?
I need to repair a 3454 Merchandise Car that I picked up, but it is not covered in the K-Line book very well. Are there good drawings in the Greenberg book? If not, where can I find repair information?

Essentially the same book cover to cover. I have both of 'em. I wore my paperback Greenberg out so bought the blue hardcover to replace it.
Suggestion: Post images of what your book has on the subject, and ask those who have the other book to compare your images to what's in their books. If different, ask that the different info be posted.
My K-Line book, second edition 1979, refers the 3454 to the 3814 page, which is only a copy of the operating page that came with the car.
How does that compare to the Greenberg manual?
Did CTT cover the 3454 repair and tune-up in one of their issues? I know they covered several of the postwar cars through the years.
