I hate to say this, but without some kind of horizontal support, either directly fastening the pilot to the underside of the body shell or just locating tabs that are then held in place by the coupler block, these aren’t going to cut it for me. Sorry.
Gluing the two vertical surfaces in a butt joint isn’t a good idea; first pressure on the pilot and it’s break out the epoxy.

Thanks for the update Mario, I recieived mine the other day but the pilots and engine are 2000mi apart. Hoped you would be first to try it. I assume other than the one problem everything fits. Do you think there is a way to make it more solid? I like the work that Thor put into this. If there is no fix I'll use as is and try to be easy.

I’m going to try and reinforce it with a lap joint onto the body and epoxy it in place.
It’s going to be on the GP40 which looks identical to the SD45 shown in Thor’s pictures.
It’s definitely a nice piece, and the stair tread detail is awesome!

Mario, looking at the design. All the weight is on the kadee mount that attaches to the frame not on the pilot as you, myself , and others have done in the past. On my RS11 conversion I used an epoxy to attach the pilot to the shell with the kadee mount attached. To this day I can pull all sorts of equipment and have no issues.( epoxy used was rated at 10,000lbs per square inch). I understand shapway prouduct is light, but since its only an extension of the she, it shouldn't be an issue I would think.

You are correct, all the shear forces are on the Kadee box and directed into the frame.
What I’m worried about is there’s no support structure for the pilot in any direction, and the butt joint being just 1/8” wide, it won’t take much to snap it.
A simple reinforcement across the joint on the inside should take care of anything, and I’ll add an 45* brace as well.

At least on my model, the chassis is a very close projection of the inside of the body shell. So there isn't a lot of opportunity for structure on the inside of the pilot if you still want to be able to separate the body and chassis:
Even so, the mating areas of the pilot and body shell have close to 0.25 in² in contact, with support in multiple directions. That's a lot of area for CA glue.
And, as others have mentioned, the pilots do not see any load during normal operation. Coupler loads are carried via the coupler mount to the chassis.
Anyway, of the ones I've done so far, the mounting has been plenty stout.
