Komatsu D475A Dozer in 1:50 scale

This diecast model is a very nicely detailed model of the Komatsu D475A dozer.  The manufacturer of the model is most likely Replicars. This model could be used on an O scale model railroad construction scene.

The Komatsu D475A is the second largest bulldozer in the Komatsu line after the D575A, the world's largest production bulldozer. The current version is the 238,960 pounds (108,390 kg), 899 horsepower (670 kW) D475A-5 Tier 2. There are several versions of the D475A that are used in surface mining, open-pit mining, quarries and construction worldwide.

Hello Guys, Good to see a few Dozer photo's.  I was assigned to the development team(s) of a few machines along with the new D11 CAT dozer for a period of time while I was a CAT.   All I can say about CAT is what a company and what place to work for!   The automotive industry doesn't have anything over these guys when it comes to planning, business acumen, processes, validation, raw engineering etc etc.  The Komatsu D475A isn't in CAT yellow that I can attest to for sure!  These are extremely powerful machines and very complicated.   There is a lot going on behind the scenes as within the control systems, engine system, hydraulics etc.  I've had the pleasure of being trained / certified as an operator of this machine and several others.  That D11 monster has incredible capabilities.  I'm not sure where the Komatsu D475A is built, but Komatsu has a plant where they build some machines just down the street from Caterpillar in Peoria, ILL.
