Well guys, its been slow going because of other personal projects but the Layout I started some two years ago is getting bigger and expanding. All of the existing Main Line, Branch Line and spurs have had stained wooden ties glued beneath the tinplate track and the results look great ! Have placed almost 900 ties ! The layout still derives its power from a ZW, KW and LW transformer. The elevated branch line is almost complete-- goes to an elevated trolley terminal near the center of the layout, and then a branch of THAT line gets significantly steeper and runs over to the top of the Fireplace to another Trolley terminal.
Can't have enough of them.... Suzie has a collection of some seventeen trolleys. Recently, she gave me more Real Estate so as to spread out from the Living Room to the Dining Room. Great gal that Suzie ! I will be adding at least TWO more transformers: Another ZW and a recently overhauled Z . When I create my auxilliary power distribition network, I'll share it with you on the Electrical Forum.
I need Mitch Marnell over here to see what's going on. He'd love all the Trolleys. One thing, I have been creating and running-in 14-gauge cables and feeders. Lots of wiring for the extended line to the Fireplace area. Nicole, the attractive young lady from across the street, has been coming over to help this old guy finish gluing down crossties, and climb under the tables to run cables and wiring. She really is a great help !
