Legacy and Lionchief + ?

It is a LionelChief Plus engine that operates with the LC remote, Universal Remote, LC App, or conventional.  It will not operate under Legacy control.  It is the same scale engine as it's Legacy counterpart in detailing and size.  The On-Line and most likely the catalog showing "Legacy Control" is incorrect. 

As of now any engine listed as LionChief Plus will not operate under Legacy control but most Legacy engines cataloged in 2017 volume 2 will operate with the Universal Remote and Bluetooth App.

When I was at the Lionel warehouse sale I had my hands on a very nice Lionchief locomotive.  I asked one of the Lionel people if it work work under Legacy and was told no, only The Lionchief controller or Bluetooth.  I put it back and found a beautiful SP SD40 instead.

The LC+ will work on the same track as a legacy loco at the same time, just using a different remote/BT app.

The Lionel website need some updating and cleaning up of generic buttons like this one that shows the Lionchief + engine in the Legacy Control System. Not to mention the dead links in Support, and so forth. The search engine(s?) are also quite lame as to finding parts, engines, etc. BUT it keeps getting a tiny bit better as time goes on.
