Legacy engine comes to a stop

When running my legacy engine at a certain spot on the main line the diesel will slow down and stop. All other functions (horn dispatch bell and shut down) will take their command but the diesel will not move. I notice the passenger cars also become dimly lite in the same section of track. Can anyone suggest something I should do.

Did not have this problem about 2 months ago.....

I'd start by cleaning the track,if that doesn't help and that part of the track is farthest from your transformer you may need to attach another pair of "feeder" wires from your transformer to that point on your layout.
