Legacy Santa Fe 200 -flashing light of the compartment!

It sounds like a warning diagnostic light. Bad thing is I am not sure you can reset it. You may want to write to Lionel and let them know what you are seeing

How many times in a row does it blink? 

Marty, I made a video where I can not turn off the lights of the cabin and it is possible to perceive the flashing light!

That sure doesn't look like the normal diagnostic flash!

I agree with John. I can't recall exactly, but wasn't there some type of "strobe effect" that could occur with the lighting on some Lionel locos? I believe Jon Z even chimed in on how to turn the "strobe effect" off.

In addition to the strobe effect, because I can not turn off the lights of the

compartment? Does the internal connection of the wires is wrong?

Have you tried writing Lionel and send them a link to the video?  Also you may want to add something to this post about trying to reach Jon Z he watches the forum but may have not seen this posting

Here is a thought. When building your lash up did you set the engine direction for the second unit to be in reverse?
