LionChief 6-30183 Scout Steam Set

We have a 4 year Grandson who loves trains and has most of the Thomas items. I was thinking of getting him a

2-4-2 steamer as in this scout which has the remote...no transformer. Any pros or cons appreciated. I personally have mostly MTH, but am afraid of him getting shocked by the transformer, etc.

While I do not have this set, I do have the Lionchief Halloween set. I did a review of the Halloween set in another post. Lionel did an good job with these IMO.
