Lionel 1666 Front Pilot Truck

The Pilot Truck looks the same - so, The Truck Plate + Lamp Socket must not be the right one.  The Front Pilot Truck mounts with a screw (1668E-24) but the The Truck Plate + Lamp Socket I have does not have a screw hole.  It just has a tab.   So, does anybody know the correct part # for the correct Truck Plate + Lamp Socket ?

The postwar part is the 1666E-87 Front Truck w/ Lamp Bracket. The prewar part is the 229-8 Front Truck w/ Lamp Bracket(has the 226E-88 pilot truck).

the silver lamp bracket is the later type used on the 2037. Your truck is the prewar style.

The prewar truck plate assembly (229-8) has a rivet and coil spring. The postwar version (1666E-87) has a copper leaf spring in place of the coil spring and rivet.

Either will work. In both cases the truck is riveted to the lamp plate.
