Have a near new 6-28225 SDT40-2 from about 2005; runs great, went to pack it, front right side frame caught on the foam box and broke on both mounting bosses; only one boss is accessible; one has to remove the motor mount from the block to access the other side frame mounting boss. In the process of trying to remove the motor from the block, the opposite side frame broke at the bosses (resting on a towel)! Both side frames just literally crumbled at the mounting boss. The residue actually got into the gears; what a PITA to remove. Be advised, the motor mount has to two flathead screws on top and a single thin screw from the bottom. Has any one else had zinc rot side frames from this series of locos SD40T-2 from period 2005/2006? Products 28247/28255/28257/28259. I would be very careful of these side frames; replacing them is no fun; will order when again available. Just curious if I won the lottery. Falcon70
