"Inherited" a non-running Lionel 8300 engine, tender and three cars that was not running (broken rod, motor wouldn't run) which I repaired and now runs pretty good (see video). It also comes with the set (orange) transformer and some rusty tubular track.
It's a good little starter set that I'd like to donate to a charity and wonder if anyone has any ideas about what organization may see that it gets a good home.

Thanks, Brad ...... at about the 31 second mark you can see a blue Mopac diesel on an outbound track heading through the closets to the other side of the playroom where there is a TT, RH and reversing curve.
I wound up donating trains to a local hospice. They set them up for the kids each Christmas...

Richie, have you posted photos of your layout in the past? There is a lot there and I’d love to see more. It feels like a great place to hang out and enjoy trains.
