Hope everyone had tremendous celebrations over the last few days!
My Lionel 990 system is acting-up. I spoke with Lionel and the person that answered my questions seemed board to death talking to people about toy trains (I guess I can't blame her!). Anyway, before I send it back to Lionel for repair (which she suggested) I wanted to see if there was a forum member that could pull a "rabbit out of the hat" and solve my problem.
When the 990 system is on and the handheld is in its cradle, it displays "Base Not Found". When out of the cradle it does the same thing. I have changed out the batteries, pushed the buttons "Retry", "CTC", "Scan", "Select", "Info", and the little button on the bottom of the base unit - several times. The red lights on the bottom of the base blink alternately.
I am hoping there is someone out there that has an idea before I have to send it out for four weeks to Lionel.
