Nice! Looks great Dave! Need a Clockwise video so we can see the whistle steam!
Thank you, Thank you. I’m not the only buyer! Great looking/running engine. Not clockwise, but a little more of the whistle steam. Medium smoke.

Thank you Dave and Ted for posting videos! That is a very impressive model! Dave, the Daylight colors look pretty good with the Bessemer Orange units in the background!!
Very very nice.

John,
I have 15 Daylight cars coming, only a little smaller.
Well.......I got my new AC-9 today and I have a couple issues I thought I would run by this group. Opened the box and first off.......no manual?? Opened up the styrofoam box and I have bits of coal strewn everywhere!! Then.....I notice I didn't get a programming module either!! I'll be calling Lionel tomorrow morning bright and early!!
Anyone else had these issues?
Thanks!! Rick
Rick,
your doing the right thing by calling Lionel.
The module though is no longer used. Just add the engine manually.
lionel should be able to get you a manual and make sure the loose coal did not scratch the E&T.
Dave
WOW!!!! What a nice locomotive!!!

Rick,
That's a bummer about the coal. As David says, no module - do it manually, is that because Lionel thinks it is easier than before, or just a cost cutting measure? This isn't the first time I read someone was surprised there is no module.
Hey Mark!! Must indeed be a cost cutting measure. This is my first Lionel steamer so I've never known if the tender coal sometimes comes lose in transit. I'll gather the bits and try to glue them all back on.
Great to hear from you my friend!!

There are other options of getting the information into the CAB2 including manual entry, sensor track, and LSU PC program. Even though convenient, it became redundant.
Rick,
Yes, I was glad to see you were able to purchase one of these great looking locomotives.
Marty,
Yes, I see what you mean about redundancy. Like most things, once folks learn new methods, they won't miss the old ones either. Thank you for pointing this out.
Beautiful! Thanks for the great videos, even though this paint scheme was never on the ac9 I think the SP should have painted maybe 2 engines in daylight paint. It fits the design of the locomotive so well! Nice one Lionel!!!
Very nice Dave
