Hoping those "Heavy Mikes" are all-new, will be keeping an eye on the NYC #9506. Other than that, looks like yet another round of re-runs. The PRR Mountains have also joined the triple release club now...

Re-runs I actually would have gone for are the J3a in later life configurations that have never been modeled in 3-rail before, and also the Niagara since the first and only release is prone to several issues.

Rusty

A cease and desist, possibly. Heres my "vague" recollection of the "good stuff".

1. Multiple road numbers (4 or 5) of SP Ac-12's

2. 2 PM, and 1 # NKP, VGN, and C&O berks

3. 2 PRR M1a 's

4. Heavy "Mikes", L&N, NYC, GN and one or two others I can't recall

5. There were a couple unpainted pilots offered as well.

It appeared to be the "starting" of a preorder list, as no diesels were isted.

I'm only seeing Big Boys on this link and no other steam engines????

Sorry I didn't see the post where the other engines were pulled before I posted this question.

Scrappy,

After comparing the features and dimensions to 2005 model #4294 which I have and love I can tell you that I will be ordering both 11464 #4286 and the 11465 #4275 with the paint scheme. The new ones do list in the features a Authentically detailed cab interior & whistle steam effect. They are only $150 MSRP over the 2005 model.

And so now it begins.. Since these are being built to order, do you not order one and hope for that you can find an extra alter.....

After looking through the catlalogs, a  few things jumped out at me -

I feel Lionel is missing something by having a lot of the sets Lionchief only.
I would have given the PRR madison set a thought, but I would not want to use the remote to run just one train. Therefore I won't be buying the set. I wish they would have included an option to run them w/ a regular transformer.

The prices of things have gotten insane. The scale stuff is priced crazy, but even the "Made in USA" w/ American & Imported parts boxcar w/o rivets has a catalog price of 65.00

Looks like Lionel gave up on the Postwar inspired/PWC/Conventional Classics.
Shame, as they could have tapped a lot more Lionel classics. I'm pretty sure a lot of these items were decent sellers.

Seems like I'm safe from all of these catalogs.

Did I miss the Christmas cars somewhere? Didn't see in Signature, RTR or teh Christmas catalogs.

For me, the Southern FMs look nice, though the price might get me. Definitely in for the SAL round roof boxcar, and maybe some 8K tank cars and USRA double sheath boxcars.

The Southern 18 inch passenger cars look nice, but at first blush the only correct car per SRR is the coach. Black roofs and side decals mean late 60s - 70s era on the Crescent or Piedmont.

The SAL Citrus E-8s look great, and would work prototypically up to 1954 if anyone is modeling the Seaboard.

Just my 50 cents (adjusted for inflation)

While I didn't see much that hits the elusive sweet spot of my roads, my curves, and my price range, these are certainly an impressive series of catalogs--a lot here for the hardcores among us!

I feel confident that the two new Hershey cars and the Chessie baby madison sets will eventually find their way to my home.  Only disappointments are the absence of any new Chessie or Polar RR stock.

I just sent Lionel a question asking whether the Big Boy's pilot cooling coil piping will be customer removable.  That will affect my buying decision.  I really don't like the looks of the piping. In their prototype video the model doesn't have them.

If it will have the piping I will probably buy the cab forward instead.  As others have said they will probably reissue this when the 4014 is restored.  I have the 3rd Rail Anniversary Big Boy so I am not desperate.
