lionel legacy shay

I have had this engine at least a year & a half & i was aware of the problem of going through 036 switches & curves while pulling some cars & derailing because the coupler hitting the rear steps ,i finally decided to do some thing about it ,i then did a search on the forum & i came across PCRR/DAVE'S fix he had done ,which was to remove both of the inner most upright & cross member ,i used my dremel & in no time at all it was done, i didn't know there was such an easy & quick fix for this problem & it worked like a charm, thanks PCRR/DAVE for posting that.
