Very desirable, though the chuff rate seems a bit slow for a Shay - of course my old K-line 2-trucker really has a machine-gun rate. I presume that this is the same loco, part deux.

My K-line is one of my worse runners, strictly because, at Shay-appropriate slow-speed operation, the least little thing interferes with the electrical pickup, and it stops (I presume center-rail; could be ground). Adding a third pickup is "on the list".

It seems by your video that the Lionel version has no such problem.

I'm not that familar with Shays in general. I just have the impression that this model's chuff rate rate is a bit slow. I just wanted to hear from others who might be more knowledgeable on this subject.

How does this new Legacy model compare with older Shay offerings from Lionel? MTH?
