In my mind that is a blessing as crew talk annoys me so much!
However, I know I am probably in the minority on that in this forum. If it is a Legacy controlled locomotive there is a button to turn the crew talk on and off. Could that be the issue?
IT IS A ODYSSEY SWITCHES ON ENG ARE LABELED SMOKE AND RUN-PROGRAM. TENDER HAS VOLUME ADJ AND SWITCH ONE WAY RAIL SOUND AND OTHER SIGNAL SOUND. SWITCH TO SIGNAL SOUND AND GET NO SOUNDS. I ASSUME THIS IS FOR CAB 1 THAT I DO NOT HAVE.
FORGOT TO THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY. IGNORE THE CAPS EASIER FOR ME TO SEE. THANKS RESPECTFULLY ROY
I'm not an expert on TMCC by any stretch, but there might be a button on the cab one that turns on or off the crew talk. Glad I could perhaps help a little!
HI ROY, IF YOU ARE RUNNING THIS LOCOMOTIVE IN CONVENTIONAL/TRANSFORMER CONTROL (YOU SAID YOU DO NOT HAVE CAB1) THE CREW TALK IS ACTIVATED BY A SINGLE SHORT WHISTLE BLOW.
THIS MUST BE A VERY SHORT BLOW, AND THERE MUST BE A 2 SECOND SPACE WITH NO OTHER WHISTLE EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THIS SINGLE SHORT ISOLATED WHISTLE BLOW. YOU WILL GET A DIFFERENT SCENE DEPENDING ON MOVING, RECENTLY STARTED MOVING, RECENTLY STOPPED, STOPPED FOR A WHILE AND MOVING WITH THE BELL ON.
(all caps because Roy finds it easier to read).
RUDY, TRIED AS YOU INSTRUCTED AND WORKED AS YOU SAID! EVER SO GREATFUL FOR THE RESPONSE. RESPECTFULLY THANKS AGAIN ROY
