setup a PM-1 A to track pwr and U to track ground using a 180 watt brick, set to CMD Using fasttrack programed the PM-1 as track 5 and responds to track 5 commands. how ever the only response to the the red thorottle is full 18 v tried half power and does not respond, Tried another PM-1 today same thing. a command tMCC engine just takes off wont accept eng commands?

 

Cant you use a brick a nd PM-1 to control throttle starting to think this the issue and i have to have a tpc,

any thoughts?

In Command Mode the Power Master passes full voltage to the track.  You need to set the PM to conventional, then the throttle will control voltage. 

 

Also, you still need the Command Module to send TMCC signals to the engine.  The PM doesn't do that.  You can run a TMCC engine in conventional with the PM thought.

 

The CAB 1 can talk to the PM, but the CAB1 can't talk to the Engine.  The CAB1 talks to a command module and that module talks to the engines.   Does that help? G

John,  It is one method to power the track without directly attaching the brick to the track.  Gives you Command capability to kill power also.  Plus if he runs conventional engines too, then it is needed to control track voltage, operate bells and whistles, etc...  G

well looks my awnswer is above i need a command base too my assumption was that the power master also acted as a command base hence the CMD switch major bummer

but that is the anwser to the original questons Thanks everyone
