That's OK, I don't think you are picking on me.

I was trying to say that people shouldn't expect the ribs to be removed because removing them probably wouldn't cause a sufficient increase in sales.

Please point out where I told people not to buy, or was negative.

The characterization of these new Alcos as being 3/4 of a loaf was not mine.

If I've upset you because you plan to buy one of the sets, then I think you are being overly sensitve.

I thought I made it clear that despite the changes, I was considering the UP set and the Rock Island Alco.

I know what you are thinking..... The 8022 was left over 2024 C&O postwar shells from '69. Notice the backwards '8'! No MPC logo on the cab.

I guess this comes down to what the word "inspired" means. Lionel is touting this where the catalog depicts it as a PW copy, and they cite the 1950 set. So does "inspired" mean Blomberg truck sides are an ok substitution? Williams got the overall look right, I dont see why Lionel can't. I really hope these will come out looking "right", but I'm not spending a dime until I can see for myself.

time, and only goof up a potentially decent chooch!
