What is the issue youre having?
lt takes about 3 minutes of running to start smoking and it you add any nore than 5 drops of smoke fluid it quits and takes along time to start smoking again. I tipped it upside down and shook it but no excess fluid comes out.,
Install a new element and repack with new wick
Top suspect for that symptom is loose screws on the smoke resistor. Try making sure they're solid first.
Sounds like you are using a Z4K. Do what John stated and if it has the fiberglass pad inside, throw it away. They are not as good as rope wicking. A few extra drops causes the pad to cool the resistor. Look at what John stated also.
