My Brother Steve lives about 20 minutes away and went today and got quite a bit of rolling stock, engines, Christmas ornaments, and 50 bottles of Premium Smoke Fluid. He had a blast, said it was very crowded and totally enjoyed himself. He didn't expect to see Legacy or VisionLine items but was able to get everything on his list. His report - excellent

Picked up a Legacy Pierre Marquette 1225 and a Legacy N&W Y6 on Friday Night went back Saturday to check out a Vision Line GG1  I saw but it already had found a new home. Friday night was packed very crowded isles and check-out. Saturday busy too. Big lines at the retail store both days cashing in their “Lenny Bucks” and buying more products. Had a great time and the folks from Lionel could not have been more accommodating.

Once again we went down to NC from Pittsburgh and was not disappointed. While I did not return with any Legacy engines, 2 of my friends each got a AC9. We all came home with some odds and ends and had a blast traveling, at the sale, and checking out the retail store.

Everyone at the sale was so nice. Lionel had a large staff on hand and did great at helping. Even saw Howard packing the tables.

Thanks to Lionel and especially the staff for having us. It was a great time.

I went today and the biggest reason I went  was  last year  they has 10" straights for 2:00 ea today they  only has the 36" curves for 2:00 ea I  was hopping to get the rest of the track I need to finish my lay out but didn't happen. I was disappointed  because of that. the 10:00 grab table was smaller and did not have much to chose  from  that was better last year also the table was longer and had more to look at. the rest was fine my brother got a polar express set for 230.00 I think. and a lionel chief Thomas set for 110.00

Guess that explains why our local store has none!😊

The sale was fantastic this year. I found a box with a price of $200. I opened it up because I was curious what was inside and to my surprise a 2 pack of 18in Norfolk and Western passenger cars which I quickly grabbed. I also picked up a weathered Norfolk and Western Y6b #2186 for $900. Nothing was wrong with the passenger cars or the Y6b. Very good prices as always and hard to find items there too. It definitely helps to come early and wait before the sale starts. I got there around 5:45pm and a lot of the shop items were gone. The Y6b that I got was the last big Legacy Steam engine there. Then I got $110 in Lenny bucks to my surprise to spend at the retail store. Got some smoke fluid, track, and a freight car all for free. Very good evening!

A very large turnout on Sat. morning.  Buyers, shopping carts and Lionel staff everywhere.  The staff was very nice, friendly, and helpful.  Very little high end stuff but what they were selling they had a good in house inventory.  We got what we liked at a good price including smoke.  A lotta stuff for sale there.  Will go back next year.
