Are there any train shows on Long Island, next weekend or Thanksgiving weekend? I looked in Announcements and didn't see any posted.

Coach Joe! Gone are the days of st Vincent DePaul ! Miss that show. Maybe Bob will know if there any local shows.
Pierre that was a great show, upstairs, downstairs in the hallway. I know we've talked about it before. We probably paced the boards of the gym floor at the same time and never even met.
Bob and I will grab lunch and visit a train store while I'm there if both schedules work out.
Trainmasters of Babylon will have an open house this Thanksgiving at our new location in Dix Hills, NY

Thanks. I was wondering about them.
Hey couch Joe, i just found out that Greenbergs in Edison NJ November 23rd and 24th is happening. New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center. A bit of a drive from the island but maybe worth a day trip.
Thanks Pierre. It's been a long time since I've been to a Greenbergs show. They would come out to the Island but that hasn't been for quite some time. I remember it at Stony Brook University, where I bought some Korber kits from Leo Korber himself, and later at Hofstra. They were really good shows back then I don't know how good they are now. It's a two hour trip one way so I'll have to mull that one over.
Does anybody remember when the Greenberg shows were held at the Colony Hill? I guess I am dating myself.

Can't wait to see the new layout!
We (LITCA members) just came back from the TMB layout open house - fantastic!
It is huge, 2,000 Sq Ft larger than the old layout I was told. Can't wait to follow its progress. All of the trains were running great too.
LI OGR Forumites - don't miss this one!

I'll have to check them out soon. I saw the old layout in Farmingdale several times.
Thanks John.

Coach Joe! Yes I used to go to Greenbergs at Stoneybrook U. Those were the days when I most enjoyed Greenbergs in LI.
did you ever go to Yonkers raceway train show? When I first was going out with Susan I asked her to come out there and help beautify the table I rented! She said sure, but what’s the table for? I’m selling my postwar collection( it was about 25 ish pieces. She had a perplexed look on her face and said do you think anyone will want these old toys? Fast forward to that event. I sold out the entire table in less than two hours! I told her she really beautified the table and brought me good luck! OK babe, let’s leave and go out for lunch. Nothing left to see here! lol.
@Leroof, I never went to a train show at Yonkers Raceway but I did go to the flea market a lot in the early-mid eighties. Interest in the trains hadn't been re-awakened yet, or maybe just had begun with a new starter set for under the Christmas tree. Trains became a big thing for me in the early nineties once I had moved out to Long Island.
