Max cars for Polar Express?

So the grandkids are having fun with the Polar Express O gauge set for the holidays (which gets expanded every year!). My question is, is there a limit on the number of cars to pull without putting excessive wear and tear on the LC engine? The layout is totally flat (ie no grades), but was just curious on advice to prevent any problems.
