MENARDS NUCLEAR POWER FACILITY / REPAIR??

There was a post a while back about how to repair this and with what parts. (I think you were included on that thread).

If I recall, the disassembly is rather difficult on these. I do have this too and the rotating lamp still works but when it goes, I'm going to look into a less mechanical way to showcase the reactor. I'm thinking of a glowing lamp like I did with this Lionel AEC car:

LOOKS GOOD,  BUT how would that be accomplishedv in the Power Facility??

Not sure yet, it's a project for down the road but I'm sure I'll still have to go through the process of disassembly and figure out where to hide the lighting and keep the realism I'm looking for.

You might be able to replace the original with one of those revolving, multi-color "Disco" like lamps that can be had online or at Micheals or Hobby Lobby. They make different sizes and one might be small enough to fit inside.

Just change the name from "Oak Point" to "Chernobyl", and then nothing has to work anymore, anyway.
