So 4000 + show up for Trainstock...2 days later not one quote from MIke Wolf?
Didn't anybody hear him say...something?
Did he mention the Spiderman F40ph, the Houdini Lager Boxcar, the 2014 Worlds Fair 50th Anniversary boxcars?

Why did he have to say anything earth shattering He came to hang out and have a good time not announce that MTH is taking over the world.

I also think Mike has done more for O gauge than anyone else I can think of in recent history. The "only make US trains" bunch needs to realize that Mike's company foray into HO and European markets is not only good for HO and European train fans but is of course good for MTH and might just be the savior of US models being made. In other words, what's good for MTH will be good for all O gauge modelers. And don't forget, it's reported that the first Euro model Mike produced, the French Chapelon, has been MTH's best seller, ever.
John, in years to come, India's billion people and China's 1.2 billion, will have a middle class of many hundreds of millions. Both countries have massive rail networks, and I think you are right, the hobby will grow there. I have a friend at my club into HO, he collects Chinese trains, there are lots of them, steam through to very high speed, and I'm sure Mike will be there to make them in O and HO.quote:Originally posted by jay jay:quote:Originally posted by Dave Allen:

I agree wholeheartedly. The more cashflow MTH produces from ANY country increases the likelihood that we will see the more esoteric USA models that we want. I think he should tap India for a customer base, as it is a big "train country", with a growing middle class.

I've got 47 O gauge locomotives:
(40) are Premier models
(5) are Railking models, and...
(4) are are Atlas O.
I started out with Lionel traditional products, and then one day my dealer lent me a video featuring MTH products...
Number (41) has been ordered, a few days ago.
Nobody forces me to buy... I buy what I like!
I agree, Mike's company stole the show...

Hi John, my cousin went to Italy many years ago. When he visited our two mothers home town he was so overwlemed by the beauty of the place he had to call home to ask his Mom one simple question. "Mom how could you ever leave this beautiful place to go live in South West Philadelphia"? Aunt Mary's answer was plain and to the point,"Eh, you can't eat scenery".
