Now that would be awesome. Hopefully, it will be cheaper than the Lionel Acela.
They will not make the SOO LINE SD60 in the first scheme.
They will not make the SOO LINE F7 A-B-A set in the 1960's White, red, black scheme.
They will not make the SOO LINE GP9 in the 1960's scheme
They will not make the SOO LINE GP30.
They will not make the SOO LINE GP35.
They will not make the SOO LINE ACF Center Flow 3-bay covered hoppers in the 1972-1973 Colormark scheme.
They will not make the SOO LINE 60' Flat Cars in the 1963 road numbers and scheme.
They will not make the RailKing modern reefer car in the SOO LINE 1959-1962 style of color and graphics with the blue doors.
They will not make the RailKing PS-2-CD 3-bay covered hopper in graphic scheme used on the MAGOR and TRANSCO 1966-1968 aluminum body hoppers with a Blue Panel and yellow wheat.
Then I will not have to order them and pay for them.
Nice try Andrew. This means they'll now produce enough of these to make your wallet beg for mercy.
Yes, Swafford.
Ever since MTH announced that they were going to be offering European trains, I have eagerly awaited every catalog hoping to see a TGV. Given that the TGV would require new tooling, I fear I will never see it.
I did buy a TGV in HO when I was in Paris several years ago. But, it's just not the same a O gauge.
I'm a 2 rail guy and I wish they would do their big steamers/diesels (ie. big boy, allegheny, etc. and that DDA40X) with center drivers/wheels blind. I am planning a layout for this year and although I have room for some wide curves I don't have room for curves that will handle those locos in 2 rail scale. I'm not a rivet counter and don't think blind drivers will hurt the look of those beautiful engines.
Rick
I agree with you Rick, but it isn't that difficult to get the flanges cut off of the center drivers.
FWIW, I have an MTH Scale Wheel 4-6-2 K4 with all drivers flanged that will negotiate 24"r curves and 24"r radius turnouts.
A Green Bay and Western caboose to go with the RS27 from years ago.

That is one I missed thinking of.
A Green Bay and Western caboose to go with the RS27 from years ago.
I've been wanting one of those for years. I finally bought one that had been custom painted and decaled, but it's an indifferent job at best and I'm still on the lookout for a factory painted version. I'd rather see it from Atlas, which has also done GB&W locomotives and makes much better cabooses. If MTH does it, lets's hope they put decent trucks on it rather than the ugly and anachronistic pre-WWI T-section trucks that they put on most of their cabooses.
Green bay & western caboose
I have to agree with this prediction, after all I've been asking for the premier version for over 2 years now.
MTH stated per their Facebook page that there will be NS, and CN Railking Imperial ES44AC's in the 2015 vol 2 catalog. I personally asked MTH a while back for premier CN ES44AC's, and their response was "it's on the list. Keep an eye out in future catalogs." Maybe they will do CN and NS in both Premier/Railking lines for 2015 vol 2. Not just the Railking Imperial ones.
Does it reflect on sales when they produce Railking and Premier models of the same engines in one catalog versus a year or more apart? None? Some?
Union Pacific 4-8-2 Mountain. With whistle smoke.

I'm not sure about that. I know they've cataloged the heritage units in both lines in the same catalog before. I just know for sure MTH confirmed the Railking Imperial ES44AC in at least NS "black", and CN for the 2015 vol.2 catalog after a fan asked them on their Facebook page. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't want to catalog both Premier, and Railking at the same time though. As this might cut sales of one or the other I would think. I might be wrong though. I just hope they do catalog ES44ACs in NS, and CN in both lines at the same time lol.

Good question. Going by memory I don't know how many times that has been done in past catalogs. I would think it probably wouldn't because they cater to 2 different crowds.
Bill
My own speculation is that we will NOT see a Daylight-painted cab forward from MTH.
... and that would be a good thing.
Any type of caboose, fantasy or not, for Elgin Joliet and Eastern to go with the Sharknose diesels and the 2500 HP diesels. A bobber would be great in two different paint schemes. Joe
I would like another actual copy of a Rio Grande steam engine in Imperial Railking.
I'm very pleased with my Challenger. Needs work on the Smoke fan/motor tho.
John, I guess you missed this over the weekend
RailKing O Gauge Premier 4-8-8-2 Cab Forward Steam Locomotive - Daylight Special
Part of the first transcontinental railroad, the Southern Pacific's passage over the Sierra Nevadas, from Sparks, Nevada to Roseville, California, has always been a challenge for man and machine. Grades in both directions approximate 2.5%. Thirty-nine tunnels and nearly 40 miles of snow sheds protect the track from snowdrifts and avalanches - Sierra Nevada, after all, is Spanish for "snow covered." Seeking more muscle for this route, the SP took delivery of two Baldwin articulated 2-8-8-2s in 1909. Initial trails, however, revealed that heat and exhaust gases in the tunnels and snowsheds made life nearly unbearable for the engine crew. Although cab forwards had been tried before in Italy and northern California, legend has it the SP cab forwards were inspired by an engineer who turned a Baldwin articulated around and ran it tender-first, putting the smoke behind him so he could breathe while he did his job.
The first true Southern Pacific Cab Forwards were delivered in March of 1910 and proved so successful that the SP eventually bought 254 more in various classes. Because the firebox and tender were at opposite ends of the locomotive, the cab forwards burned oil, piped under pressure from the tender to the firebox. The cab in front gave the engineer the best forward visibility of any steam locomotive. Engine 4294, the inspiration for our RailKing replica, was the last new steam engine delivered to the Southern Pacific and is today a centerpiece display on the main floor of the California State Railroad Museum. In 2015 we are happy to bring it to you in not only the traditional black, but in a new, never produced by MTH Daylight Special custom paint.
Last offered in 2007, the Cab Forward returns to the Premier lineup in 2015 in Premier dress and upgraded with Proto-Sound 3.0 and now featuring the stunning Daylight Special custom paint which when accompanied the the Daylight Special passenger set will bring a new stunning look to your layout.

They just did that to me with the last two catalogs. BNSF RK Scale SD45, then BNSF Premier SD45 in back to back catalogs. It hasn't worked yet, but it's definitely gotten my attention and I'm still on the fence about the Premier version. From the catalogs they look quite similar, not sure the Premier is all that much better as I haven't seen one in person? OTOH, the RK Scale is not as detailed as my other Premier engines of different varieties. MTH seems to have my number...
How about a 2500 hp transfer diesel in Minneapolis Northfield & Southern to match the one at the Illinois Railroad Museum, and a caboose to match? I know the MTH mold is a Lima and the MNS engine is a Baldwin, but they are similar enough in appearance that I could forgive the deviation from the prototype.

They also did that with the N&W J class Railking in 2014 Vol. 1 and Premier in 2015 Vol.1. Anyway, I just hope that I am able to get a Norfolk Southern (Black Version) in Premier because I am tired of seeing them in HO scale, N scale and now maybe O gauge everywhere knowing that the only one ever produced in O scale was back in 2009. And for the record, before anybody says it, I am not counting heritage units here. I mean not even Lionel came out with one and that was surprising . (Sorry, I had to rant.)
Im hoping for more Premier Subway sets, a re-release of the R32's and R40 slants would be nice, Have the R32 signed up as C or E and have the R40 slant signed up as A or B
also it would be nice to see an ALCO cab unit PA or FA and E/F units in the Southern Pacific Bloody nose scheme
I basically have the NP North Coast Limited set paid off, and am turning my attention to the NP Timken. The last catalog had a lot of Milwaukee, C & NW, and MRL cars. Some of which I have begged for years, especially some of the Milwaukee Road Box Cars and Reefer variations. Plus the MRL woodchip cars. I am asking MTH to go light. If they had nothing but Pennsylvania and NYC so I can catch up that would be great.
