I just received a set of the mth premier NYC ribbed and plated passenger cars. So it got to wondering that MTH should make a set of California zephyr cars with 4 vista dome cars, and maybe a 2 two car sets of some of the other cars.
The plating really set these cars off plus not everybody can run the 21" cars and the prices of some of the others.

Sign me up! I've been waiting years for this to happen. As long as they make the dome/observation car it would be a great set.
And I don't even have the motive power to run the train, but if the cars were made I'd start picking up some F3s in a few road names without a doubt.
Think they would be the generic MTH passenger car runs.
You might want to try to hunt down a set of the California Zephyr domes from K-Line some time back I picked up a set and love them bright and shiny.
Way back in the "early days," MTH did aluminum CZ cars in both 15" and 18." Baggage, 3 domes, dome-observation, with an add-on sleeper/diner set.
Not too bad looking, the only detraction was they had the flat channel in the letterboard and along the lower side, like the late Lionel super streamliners.
