I have an MTH CP Genset Diesel (20-21666-1) that I purchased a while ago i.e. outside of the warranty period. I unpacked it today and found that the rollers do not spin freely on the pickup roller "axles". I tried using a tiny drop of oil on the rollers, but they are too tight to spin. There are black marks on the rollers which I assume were the result of "testing" at the factory and the rollers dragging on their test track. I would like to purchase new sets of rollers, but I am having an issue determining what part number is the correct one to use when ordering. Has anyone else had this problem with the rollers on the MTH Genset Diesels and how did you address the issue. Has anyone ordered new rollers and what part number did you order? Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Couple of notes:

Usually I find that the rivet axle of the roller and bent metal frame of the roller is just tight from assembly. Often times, inserting a sharp razor blade to carefully pry the 2 legs apart and give the roller clearance solves the issue.

Parts search- ok looking for a double roller

Just compared to a removed one from one of my MTH Genset engines.

Technically, the one I had was the non insulated version on a PS2 variant

The 13mm is the length of the arm rivet to rivet

FWIW, I believe the insulated versions (BD0000105) are used to prevent the rollers from arcing when crossing certain switches or other track sections (example activator tracks with extra rails). It's just narrowing the width of the contact area to hopefully just the center rail path during straight movement.

Again, my PS2 3V variant, it came with the solid roller style, but newer ones (Probably PS3)  shipped with the insulated style based on the manual picture.
