Has anyone ever made a Pennsy style N52A caboose in O scale, or has there ever been made a caboose that closely resembles it?
I would like to have one painted for LIRR like the pictures below.

nice caboose. I would buy one.
Have tried either MTH or Weaver? As that is not a very common caboose.
With MTH website search for cabooses.

You could almost 'fake' one by repainting an old Lionel tin N5. If you want to go further, Glue some Northeastern scribed wood to the metal body with Goo and paint. If you are really ambitious, you could scratch build a new cupola to come even closer.
Just went to MTH website and checked for cabooses, no N52A found! Nothing comes close to N52.
Do you mean N5c or N6b or N8?

phillyreading,
I agree with you, I have found, for the most part, that M.T.H. makes either exact, or close to exact, P.RR. and its' subsidiary L.I.R.R., cabin cars.

Interesting, as I did not know there was such a caboose. Sometimes you have to do a little research on something. Now to pest Bachmann about making one in O gauge.

The N52a's were ordered by LIRR, which was owned by the PRR 1900-1949, but were not a PRR cabin car design or used by the PRR.
Would not mind having a three rail model of one
Greg, take a look at this video, you'll see a LIRR caboose on my layout that is scale, with a smoke unit, is this what you are looking for?
RJL, That is a great link. I cant beleive i didnt find that when i googled "N52A Caboose"
I would love to see one made by Atlas or Weaver, I think they would be the ones to make it as close to accurate as it could be. My scratch building skills are not too great so I wouldn't take on building one myself.
Bill, the one you have looks cool but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.
