I have a set of the Lionel woodside PFE reefers that if recall were made to go with one of the Big Boys a few years ago.

The brake hose assembly that  snaps in place over the coupler has come off.

I need to remove the truck on the left in order to put the brake hose assembly back on the coupler.

The screw that holds the truck on appears to be set on the frame from inside the car body - there is no visible  screw head holding the truck in place.

There are no visible screws that mount the  car body to the frame.  I did find two small screws that hold the truck bolsters in place at each end of the car. I removed the two small screws from the bolster holding the truck on that I need to remove. The truck bolster will not come off the frame.

I give up! There has to be a way to remove the car body in order to remove the truck.

Any ideas???

 Thanks,

Richard Gonzales.

Thanks BobbyD,

The roof came off purely by accident when I was trying to slide the car body off the frame, as mentioned above.

The ice bunkers were an interesting detail.

I've had a few exciting moments with many items that I didn't realize would easily separate at an odd location.

That Ice bunker is a nice detail if you leave a car with the hatches open or the roof off. IIRC the K-Line cars had bags of "Ice" to place in there.
