I have an older TIU version L, running 4.2. The variable #1 went out some time ago, the fixed #1 blew its fuse a couple of days ago — which I replaced.
Now I can get engines to power up in conventional mode, missing the watch dog, on fixed #1 and fixed #2 when power is connected to fixed #1 & #2. However when there is the watch dog, about half the time, I cannot get an engine added — says no engine found or out of range.
For reference the TIU is being powered from a z1000 and is on a clean single section of 3’ gargave track. Both of which are on the kitchen counter, about 2’ apart from each other. I have reset the remote and TIU and attempted to add PS 2 and PS 3 engines.
Happy to pay for whatever repairs might be needed, just need someone capable of identifying the issue and resolving it.
